The "Original" is quite a simplistic gingerbread loaf cake and heavily spiced, with a perfect moist texture. It makes the perfect gift, so make sure you make two!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease and line loaf pan with parchment. Pan should be 10"L x 4"D x 4"H.
- Cream butter and brown sugar in mixing bowl.
- Slowly add egg, golden syrup and water with baking soda.
- Immediately, add dry ingredients and mix.
- Bake 45-60 minutes.
